F**k Followers is the punk rock content show! F**k Followers pushes against marketing and social media trends in the bid for followers by encouraging DIY strategies so that creators can take back their artistic voices by creating content for the sake of creating. Listeners can expect a range of topics to help facilitate a truthful voice and vision while throwing their middle fingers to the stresses of marketing, promoting, gaining followers, getting sponsorship, landing that network deal, or becoming a YouTube celebrity. F**k Followers is hosted by Moniquea Marion, a Toronto based actor, comedian, and digital creator. Marion has created dozens of hours of digital content. She’s passionate to talk about DIY content creation and will be sure to leave her listeners feeling confident in their creative endeavors. She’s a graduate of the Second City Conservatory in Toronto, The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre in NYC, and the People’s Improv Theatre in NYC. Marion is a twice nominated contender for Best Female Improviser by NOW Magazine in 2014 & 2015. Marion underwent and successfully accomplished a rigorous web series, Moniquea Marion 365, in 2016 where she released a new character video for every day of the year. She wrote, starred, produced, filmed, and edited 365 character videos in 365 days. Marion’s latest endeavor is a travel web series called Fuel Up where she spent a month riding Canada’s west coast in search of food and adventure alone on a motorcycle. Look for Marion at this year’s Toronto International Fringe Festival and Edmonton’s International Fringe Festival where she’ll debut her latest one woman show, Glorious Loser.
