Nusrat Jahan is a practising lawyer, Barrister & Solicitor (Ontario), Barrister (UK), and Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court with over 20 years of diverse legal professional background in litigation, negotiation, real estate and program management. A commonwealth Chevening scholar, Nusrat obtained her Masters in Laws from the University College London, UK.

She has worked for the Govt. Of Bangladesh as a law officer in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. She was a national professional officer in the Tobacco Control Program, World Health Organization, Bangladesh and was the Program Manager, Access to Justice and Human Rights, a UNDP Bangladesh Program. She also seats on the Progressive Action for Community Empowerment board, a non for profit in Toronto.
