Corovi worked for several reputed print media, dailies and weeklies, in different capacities and is still contributing through her writings on various social issues. She holds a master’s degree in English literature. Apart from managing several national events, she served many national and multinational companies as a PR consultant.

She hosts a special show on the 2nd week of every month.

These various activities proved one thing: I had zero stage fright. I joined Dhaka Natyam, Shorosruti and finally, Lok Natyadal, which were significant in the growth of my theatre personality; I took it as far as getting into National Television and Bangladesh Radio an actress and part-time RJ. This opened many doors, including socio-political involvement in the 90s democratic movement, which began soon after my enrollment in the Bangla literature department at Dhaka University. However, despite my background and surroundings, I didn’t take this political ruse any further. Eventually, I got engaged further with theatre work, literature and books.

I didn’t realize my prowess as a writer despite working as a reporter in the weekly newspaper, Ananda Bichitra- until my to-be father-in-law at the time heard my speech at his founded school and asked me why I haven’t written a book yet? Post-marriage, the only things I carried forward from my life before were my heritage, books and the diary where I penned down every word in my mind’s eyes. I still don’t identify as a writer, but I would love to have that title someday.

Nipu, as an active team member, hosts a regular show titled ‘ Bondhu Jokhon Boi’.

Poet Mujtoba Murshed has generated intrepid positivism in his vast, colourful canvas of poetry. He loves dwelling in the world of romanticism and humanism, which made him turn out to be a poet of his people. Over the last 40 years, his stories have human dynamics and an undeniable emotional appeal. Murshed masterly portrays everyday experiences with vivid and luminous images. He proves a discriminating eye for the surrounding world and provides it with fictional flavour. He can also claim credit for incorporating superstitions, local beliefs, hocus pocus into his stories in a faithful manner. He strikes a balance between realism and romanticism.

Mujtoba worked as the Political Advisor to the Japanese and German embassies in Dhaka for a quarter-century. He served the BIMSTEC as an Advisor. He also worked with an English daily newspaper as an Executive Editor for some time. Several TV dramas and serials were also made based on the short stories of Mujtoba and had attained popularity and appreciation from the viewers and critics. He is an active team member of TV Metro Mail, Canada.

I practice under the name of More Than A Therapist – helping people to live creatively, intellectually and spiritually. My goal is to cross-pollinate ideas from a wealth of disciplines. Different disciplines illuminate one another and lead to insight, directly or indirectly, into that grand question of how to live, and how to live well.
