Bondhu Jokhon Boi: The title of my show roughly translates to “when a book is your friend”; as far as I can remember, the best friends I had in life, were books. Don’t get me wrong, I have always had more friends than I could count but the solace and safety I found in pages of books, in arms of fictional characters and in the words of authors- nothing could match up to that. Anywhere I see a book, it draws me close and calls for me to read a few pages; it’s a connection I cannot explain. I have always been a literary enthusiast, starting from my hobbies to my university major; I have had the privilege of closely associating with the literary community as well. That’s how I came up with the concept, that if I were ever to put that network to use, the best way would be to dedicate a talk show solely to literature, and that’s how “Bondhu Jokhon Boi” came into being. – Nipu
